The White Turkish Goat, AKA Angora a Turkish domestic breed primarily known for producing lustrous fiber or mohair.   

There are early references in Sumerian cuneiform tablets and the Bible dating the origin of the breed between the 12th and 15th centuries B.C. 

The name “Angora” came from Ankara, Turkey, where the Angora goat became well established. 

Angora goats produce “mohair” which is derived from the Arabic word “mukhaya” meaning to choose or prefer.

Angora Goats have long, fine, lustrous hair covering their entire body except for their face, and legs

Each Angora goat is shaved twice yearly to collect the fiber.
