MADAME ALEXANDER DOLL COMPANY!  100 YEARS AND COUNTING!

Marie Antionette is a 10"  Cissette beauty with a light skin tone and lovely blue eyes.   Soft blonde curls frame her face and are tied back into a long weft of soft waves dipping below her waist.  Dressed outdoor games, summer fun, and perhaps a little scandal, she wears a white cotton frock of the Neoclassical period.

Marie Antoinette is dressed for a summer garden party in "The Queen's Hamlet", a rustic retreat in the park of the Chateau de Versailles built for her in 1783.  This 10"  Cissette beauty has a light skin tone with the loveliest blonde curls framing her face and tied back into a long weft of soft waves dipping below her waist.  Unlike her formal ball gowns adorned with ribbons and bows, she wears a simple white muslin frock with a natural waist gathered into a very full skirt that barely "kisses" the tops of her fabulous French slippers which are accented with lace.  Her bustle skirt flows into a short train in back.  A deep white muslin ruffle accents her beautiful alabaster neckline, and her long puffed sleeves are gathered  on the forearm, below the elbow, and at the wrist ending with a self ruffle.  A fringed gold silk sash encircles her waist and is tied in a large bow at her back.  Her beautiful head is crowned with a straw sun hat accented with a large bright turquoise feather and a matching satin ribbon band tied into a beautiful bow with streamers down her golden tresses.

Marie Antoinette inspired a revolution in fashion like no other Queen in history!  From her over-the-top pastel gowns adorned with ribbons and bows to her plain muslin dresses that attracted both admiration and scorn, the trends that Marie Antoinette set are still emulated by top fashion designers today.
